News From the Continent

It is at one of those ho-hum network lunches that Tall Man came up, smiling at me.

To be honest, I've always felt a bit embarrassed whenever I see him, at seminars or network events. Even shy. I dunno how to explain it, but it's just that for an underling amoeba like me, to be his stand-in for a month in his absence, is truly asking a child to fill a big pair of shoes.

Moreover, back at the Continent, Tall Man has no lack of able assistants and it seemed rather daunting at that time, for a 3-week old newbie to take over. Why, they could do things with thier eyes closed!

Anyway, Tall Man said something that added a shine to my day.

"When you are posted out? Want to come back to the Continent? The team liked you and wanted to work with you again".

I felt really embarrassed when he said that, even as my heart was bursting with joy. While deflecting attention as well as I could, Tall Man also said that he is due to come back to the Sphere, though I pointed out that as his 2nd posting, he's expected to stay on at the Continent longer.

Thank you God, that I've made a positive impact onto others, no matter how small. You are good Lord, towards me.
